Numbness on on left side of body

Patient

Q: My husband has been having a problem for over a year now. He was having numbness on the right side of his thigh and tingling in the fingers. Then over the last few months it has all moved over to the left side and includes his jaw, neck, arm and leg. He has a spot on the left thigh that he can't hardly feel. He said it feels dead. He's having trouble walking at times because his left leg is so weak. He said he feels like he's having a stroke. We went to a Dr. a few months back and they did an EKG and it came back fine. He does have a history of heart disease in his family. He's currently seeing a chiropractor because we thought it might be a pinch nerve but he had that same feeling yesterday where it was really bad. Any ideas?
