Patient :Ok, so a weird deal. I was at work putting some boxes in the dumpster and there's a long, thin drain that runs along the outside of the dumpster on the ground that's covered with a grate. Well part of the grate is broken and I stepped through it with my right foot (lucky I didn't sprain my ankle) and I put all my weight on my right leg as I started to fall and saved myself from falling. I immediately got this sharp, weird pain I've never felt before in my femur and was like "what the heck was that?". It immediately went away and I felt nothing else for the rest of the night. The next day I went running with no pain during the session but as soon as I got done and sat down for a few minutes it started aching (front of femur shaft halfway up and a little towards the inside) when moving around. It hurt when I would stand up n stuff but nothing really when walking. I figured I pulled a muscle but no stretch I do hits any pain resistance. So, I took a few days off from running (Ive been jogging a very light 3 miles for 2 months) and as I went into the next run after this I felt nothing so I thought it cleared up. I was wrong. Again, didn't hurt during run....just after. Then today, I went to work (I'm a waiter) and towards the end of my shift, it started hurting when taking steps and now that I'm off I have a slight limp because there's a sharp, dull pain. I looked up pulled muscles but stress fx popped up. Self- performed "one leg hop test"and "hang test" and didn't feel anything....except for this. When I hung my leg over the chair with my arm under my leg and pulled "straight down", I feel nothing.....but when I roll the back of my leg over my arm like when you mead dough, I feel it. What do you think?
