Patient : On the 8th of April I injured my back, at first it was a sharp pain in the lower left side of the back then not long after that my leg started to go numb. A very sharp and deep pain started to go from my lower backThrough my but, back of my leg then around to the front of my foot. My doctor but me on Naproxin and Gabapentin. I worked for 2 weeks in great pain. When I went back to see him he put me on Gabapentin 600MG and Diclofenac sodium 50MG. I did start to have some slight swelling in that ankle. Now my foot looks like a small football, no big time redness or vains in disorder, and no pain to the foot it's self just some discomfort. my calf is a little swollen as well. Sharp pain every now and then in that leg too. My back has a dull pain at times. It's my leg and foot seem to be in the worst shape. Can a Sciatica cause this?
