One swollen lymph node

Patient : I have had one swollen lymph node on the right side for a few months now. The tonsil on that side is also very red and inflamed, I can feel it when I swallow. Lately I have been having flu-like symptoms without a fever as well as headaches. I have allergies so I thought that's why I had cold and flu symptoms, but I seem to be feeling worse and worse. I am also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and I am taking 50 MCG of Synthroid daily. Could this be connected?
