Question:

One Testicle (Testicular Torsion)

Dear Ask The Doctor:
I had testicular torsion surgery Dec. 14th to remove one testicle. I was wondering when I would be able to play football again, and when I could start sprinting, and lifting weights (heavy). I plan on trying out for my college football team in February.

Answer:

It has been six weeks since your procedure. This is more than adequate recovery time. It should be safe to resume all your normal activities including rigorous exercise.
