Patient : Hello Doctor
In December last year I had a sexual intercourse with a lady. Three days later i felt a pain when urinating. And also a pain in my groin. I went to a sexual transmitted disease test' were they took a urine sample. The test result was negative'it was all clear. But i was still feeling unwell. I went to see my doctor. He advised me to do a urine test. I was diagnosed with UTI urinary Tract Infection. The doctor prescribed Antibiotics. Unfortunately the medicine did not work. I went to another clinic and did a urine test' the result was negative i was cleared. But i'm still experiencing the pain after urinating. My doctor prescribed 3 different antibiotics and none have worked. he finally asked me to do blood test for liver kidney etc. When the results came' he said that all is okay.. He said liver is fine but that my kidney reading 45 and that the average is 48. He asked me to do a hematology ESR TEST in two weeks time. I'm very worried because i read something on the internet that if your kidney reading is below 60 it means you have kidney problem OR MAYBE i did not understand what my doctor is talking about. Can you help me.
