Patient : My daughter 2.5 years ago crushed a nerve in her foot. About 1 month after that she started feeling nausea on a constant basis. We have had numerous tests done and everything comes back ok on the tummy and gallbladder. They have even treated her for stress and none of the anti-nausea medicines have worked. Her foot has also been tested - ultrasound, bone scan, etc. There is damage there. In fact 2 years after the accident she had a bone scan and it shows an injured area and is still discolored. 1 year after the crushed nerve - she also had a hair-line fracture at the same stop. When she walks quite a bit etc her foot is very uncomfortable. Recently the nausea has been very bad. She then started complaining about the pain on the top of her foot - turns out she has a good size bruise at the "spot". Sorry for so much info but my question is can the pain from her injury have everything off wack in the fact it is causing the nausea? The foot doctor said something about having to reboot her nervous system type thing as a possibilty. She doesn't want to go back to college, doesn't enjoy doing fun things with her friends cause of the nausea. She has given up sports because of the foot pain.
