Pain in face neck and back

Q: I have asthma and allergies. For a few years now, at random times I will have pain in the neck and face. when it begins I know it is going to be painful. It then radiates to my upper back and chest. I figure it is asthma attack and treat it with 3 or 4 puffs of albuterol inhaler. It takes about 15 minutes for it to subside and I'm exhausted... this just happened..It was suggested once by my dr on the phone that it sounded like possible angina. It is very painful and even brings me to tears. Is this a typical asthma attack or is something else going on?
