Patient: I am a 15 year old girl who runs cross country and track. Last week during a run, my left hip starting hurting. It was a sharp pain so my coach made me stop and I went home. That was on a Thursday, so it’s been ten days since. Throughout the week, the pain has been felt in my left side, left hip, and left groin area. I held off on running, but I still biked and swam laps. On Friday, my thigh started hurting too. It feels like cramps in the areas, and like it’s a cramp just moving around. I know it’s probably just from overusing my leg, because during the summer, I biked 8+ miles, swam laps, and then ran every day, but I just want to make sure everything is okay.
