Pain in varginal during first month of pregnancy

Patient: My menstruation stopped about a week ago, i did pregnant test and its positive, am expriencing pain in my varginal, is this normal?

Doctor: Pain in the vagina may be normal in pregnancy due to incresed blood circulation and the enlargement of the uterus causin g stretching of the ligaments that hold it. If the pain does not go away, you may have to visit your doctor to do a urine test to rule out any infection.
