Patient : My daughter received her 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th PCV vaccinations right on schedule as recommended by the CDC. However, she received a 5th vaccination at age 3. We assume this to be a mistake. But we want to ask, can any harm come to her for having received the extra vaccination and might there be an actual reason for giving a 5th dose when doses 1 through 4 were given according to schedule? (She is a healthy child; currently age 5.)
