Period troubles

Patient

Q: I am wondering if I have a problem. My periods come every month (sometimes twice) on a range from a 20-29 day cycle and lasts between 4 and 7 days. It is incredibly heavy (a super sized tampax pearl may last 2 hours and is full of clots, and if i use the bathroom it tends to drip). Also, i get really bad cramps and painkillers such as motrin dont help. I am not on any medication other than an iron pill. My period has been like this for the past six months. I am hoing to start a family soon and i need to know if everything sounds ok, if not i will speak to my doctor.
