Patient : I am a 32 year old male and for the first time I am going to a female physician for a physical next month. I know some doctors of the opposite gender will do a quick look at just height, weight, blood pressure, heartbeat, lungs ask a few questions and that's it. Some doctors will do a full head to toe physical exam where a guy must strip to his underwear, barefooted, and shirtless and the doctor checks EVERYTHING! including a genital and rectal exam and the turn your head and cough test. Which exam is likely going to happen for me? Is it too early to tell? Do female docs check everything for a male patient? or does it depend on the dr?
