Plantar Fasciitis - Area of Pain has shifted

Patient

Q: I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis on both feet. I have been stretching and icing my heels daily.

Lately, I noticed that the pain has shifted from the ball of the foot to the lower heel, on the outer side of the foot.

Is this normal or have I done something to aggravate the condition?

Thank you.
