Polyfollicular ovaries

Patient

Q: I recently had a scan to check my coil had been fitted correctly, which it had, but the sonographer indicated that I have polyfollicular ovaries, with one side noticeably worse than the other. I am struggling to find any information about what this actually means and what the implications of this are? I am also currently keeping bladder input & output diaries as requested by my GP as I have to urinate very frequently. Could these things be linked or are they likely to be separate issues? Any information would be appreciated, thank you.

Symptoms:  Polyfollicular ovaries, frequent urination
