Pop rib or muscle growth?

Patient: I had injury towards my lower right rib area due to training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I can do my daily activities just fine. Just when I get into certain positions it begins to hurt or any pressure added to that side. Now could this be muscle building in my ribs or could it be a “pop rib? If so what is the best treatment I could use to make the healing process a lot quicker?
