Pregnancy Body Temperature

Patient

Q: I recently found out my wife was pregnant (about 7 weeks).

She got in a 99 to 101 degree hot spring recently.

We are concerned about birth defects of the baby because of exposure to high temperatures.

Can you tell if the exposure to high temperatures caused birth defects?
If so, how?

What is the average rate that body temperatures will increase in a hot spring? The temperature outside was 30 degrees F. The temp of the spring was 99 to 101 degrees F.

Do you know this calculation?
