Pregnancy symptoms and damaged fallopian tubes

Patient: A specialist told me my tubes are damaged and I’m going through menopause. Can I get pregnant? I’m having symptoms.

Doctor: It is unlikely that you would be pregnant if your fallopian tubes are damaged and at your age menopause is a most likely diagnosis. Though I can see no harm in doing a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy if you’re having some symptoms.
