Preventing Skin Issues with Weight Loss

Patient: Is it possible to not have loose skin when losing 100 pounds (going from 300 to 200)?

Doctor: Thank you for your question. Yes it is possible. The loss of 100 lbs is a considerable amount of weight to loss. There i s no way of preventing this especially if one was considerably heavy. Over time the loos skin will decrease in size, but there may still be some visible excess skin. If you decide to, then this can be removed by a plastic surgeon.Thank you for consulting AskTheDoctor.com
