Protected after twenty-one days on the pill?

Q: I only start my period in 2 weeks. But can I use the Quick Start method and start takind the pill (Yasmin) today? When can I them be sure if I'm protected from pregnancy; some say a month, does that mean after the 21 active pills? Or after completing the 28 pills which includes the placebo? I'm going on holiday and really don't to start my period, so what will happen if after the 21 days active pills I skip my placebo and start a new packet? Will I still be protected against pregnancy? Also I am using "CiplaTrim" to lose weight, will it make the pill not work?
