Question about ongoing protein in my urine?

Patient

Q: I have been told for the last four years that I have protein in my urine. I got tested originally four years ago and the blood work came back negative. Now, I had the tests ran again as a recommendation from my new doctor, and the urine showed plus one protein. We repeated the urine sample a second time and I got plus one protein again. However, when I had the blood work done again, they said everything came back normal. Any ideas as to why I have persistent protein in my urine but normal blood work?
