Question about possible morning sickness?

Patient : Last Tuesday (8/4) I felt nauseated around 7pm and it got worse and worse until around 9pm, when I puked/dry heaved nonstop for about twenty minutes. I thought it was because my ill-advised lunch around 1pm that day (grilled cheese from Sonic and a vanilla milkshake) reacted badly with my stomach. I was fine until this morning (8/13), when I ate a breakfast burrito and as soon as I was done I immediately felt like I was going to throw up. I ended up not throwing up and using the bathroom instead and felt a little better but I am still nauseated an hour later. Now everyone at work says I'm pregnant! It did cross my mind but I don't think it's likely... I just finished a very light period that only lasted three days (8/10-8/12) and had a normal 5 day period 7/12-7/16. My husband and I aren't actively trying not to get pregnant, we just dont have sex on days when my period tracker says I'm fertile. I honestly don't think I am pregnant and haven't taken a test. I figured my issue is more GI based... but I was just wondering if morning sickness can occur randomly one day and then shut off for days at a time and start back up again? Couldn't find anything on the internet that mentioned that so I figured I would ask here. Thanks!
