Questions about the measles vaccine.

Patient

Q: My mother, born March 28, 1941, does not know if she ever received the measles vaccine. Should I have my Mother vaccinated for measles?

Symptoms:  None
Doctor

A:   Hello,
Thank you for your query at AskTheDoctor.com
I understand your concern.
Measles is mostly a childhood illness, so even if the vaccination was missed earlier, there is no need to give it now. If she has good immunity she definitely does not need the vaccine.
So do not worry.

Hope this was helpful,
Regards.
