Patient : My 17-month old has a raised bump on her right upper butt cheek about an inch from her spine. It started out looking like a pimple or whitehead several weeks ago when I first noticed it, but it's become more of a mole-looking bump a couple millimeters in diameter and is almost as 'tall'; it's skin-colored, not brown or red or discolored in any way, neither on the bump itself or on the surrounding area; it seems to have a small 'dimple' in the center. It doesn't appear irritated or swollen, doesn't seem to itch (she never scratches it), and she's only got one of them. If it's relevant, her behavior is normal, though she seems to be sleeping more the last few days. I've tried to keep the area clean (daily baths) and moisturized (all-natural lotion with no scents or preservatives, etc.), but instead of going away it's been getting bigger, albeit very, very slowly.
Is it something I should worry about?
