Patient :Sometimes I fall asleep during the day and I can't stop myself. It's not everyday and its not all day. But when it happens, I can't do anything to wake myself up. I've fallen asleep during the worst times: my husbands grandfather's funeral, as a juror (the judge had another juror wake me up), driving, church, etc... And this doesn't happen when I don't get enough sleep. I can get plenty of sleep the night before. I feel that I sleep pretty decently at night. It's just that when I start going to sleep...I can't be stopped. There's no rhyme or reason to it occurring either. I'm 31 years old and I feel like a jerk sleeping at all these events.
