Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy

Patient

Q: My sister believes she has Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. This has been going on for about a year. She has had every test possible and seen so many doctors, yet no one will tell her what is wrong. She is 52 and in so much pain. She says even her pants hurt her leg(s). (It started out in one leg and she says the pain is now in both legs.) Her fingernails have grown like never before. She just can not get a diagnosis for her symptoms. Is RSD so little known that it can't be diagnosed? ...or is it possibly something else? She just can't keep going like this.
