Right side rib lat injury

Q: I have been crossfitting, an intense sport known for repetitive movements with bodyweight or olympic lifts, for almst 8 months now. I was doing a work out with burpees and handstand pushups, when i felt a pain and botehring on my right side lat, near the side of my rib cage. I continued with my workouts regardless of the pain. I then continued aggravating it until about two weekes later I noticed that heavy lifts and pull ups aggravated it even more that I had to rest for a week. I went back to the workouts and then reinjured myself. I finally went to te doctor since at this point my side, back near my lat, and right front side of rib cage hurt so bad even to breath, cough, sneeze. The doctor took exrays and said my lungs and ribs looked healthy but noticed a something near or in close vicinity of my rib. He also mentioned my right lungs vascular veins looked a little more prominant than usual and a little inflammed. He suggested i get an mri done to determine what the weird thing near the rib was. I hear popping sounds but feel no pain when i breath in and out around the injury area, side of my rib. I have never had an injury near this area, part of my body. I am wondering what this inflammed lung, and popping of my side rib, front rib can be if i have never injured this part of my body. Can you please assist
