Rigidity in finger after cut

Patient

Q: O two days ago I happened upon cutting my right index finger very deeply on the top middle area where it creases with a knife that had developed rust on it. At the time I was trying to keep my finger straight, but now I am trying to flex it a little more and am noticing that there is a rigidity when my finger reaches a 90 degree point, and a pain develops at this point as well. I am unsure if I have my tetanus shot but was wondering if the rigidity was caused by the deepness and severity of the cut, or something else. Thanks

Symptoms:  Rigidity and pain in finger at about 90 degrees
