Patient :Hi, about 4.5 days ago I fell and hit my forehead. A pretty good cut was made. Over the next few days it seemed to be healing very well, but last night I put Neosporin on it before I went to sleep. The scab measured about 5/8" x 1/8". About two hours into my sleep, half of my scab was pulled off from what seemed to be friction from my pillow. It did not bleed at all, just revealed the wound which seemed under control. It is red as expected, and there are two small pockets of deeper indentation. Overall, the wound looks pretty much the same as before, just without that part of my scab, the area is indented overall. How could this affect my recovery? Should a new scab form, should I keep it moist and are there any precautions I should be taking? Thank you.
