Several weeks ago I had a mild to moderate cold

Q: Several weeks ago I had a mild to moderate cold. Was congested and had a sore throat. The general cold symptoms have gone and I do not have any glands up. I have a lump sensation on the left side of my throat which is painful when swallowing. There is associated itch sensation in my ear when I swallow on the same side. My tonsils look ok, no signs of pus or significant swelling. This has been going on for about a week. Sometimes it is better than others but not subsiding. Is this a viral throat infection taking time to resolve? Could this be seasonal allergies? The air is also very dry and I am waking up with a very dry mouth. Could this be a cause? I have also been having some issues with acid reflux recently at night.
