Patient :I recently joined track for the first time. Before this I had done a little running here and there and would occasionally feel shin splints. Now I have severe pain AFTER running a 100 or 200 meter dash, in my inner, lower, leg. Its a throbbing pain the makes my toe twitch and doesn't allow me to walk without feeling discomfort. The pain goes away after 20-30 minutes but leaves my inner leg really sore and tender. What could this be and what is advisable?
