Shingles transmission from another human

Patient: Can’t you get Shingles from some one who has them.

Doctor: No, a person who has shingles would not transmit shingles to other healthy person. However the virus that causes shingle s which is the same as the one that causes Chickenpox could be transmitted. Therefore, a person who has shingles can only transmit chickenpox to a person who has never had it before but not shingles.
