Should Hemorrhoids last 3 months? Should I see a doctor?
Patient :Should Hemorrhoids last 3 months? Should I see a doctor? I'm out of Anusol, can I use Emla for symptomatic relief? If I need to see a doctor is there anything I can do to make the examination a more pleasant thing for both the doctor and myself?
Symptoms: I suspect I have Hemorrhoids; I first noticed in August but initially dismissed the issue as an anal fissure.
During a bowel movement I experience severe stinging pain which lasts for several hours afterwards. Anusol helps but only for a few minutes.
I feel like there's something obstructing the stool from passing during a bowel movement (possibly an internal hemorrhoid); I visualize the sensation as a branch protruding in a waterfall - comical yes?
The pain and discomfort lasts for several hours after a bowel movement; painkillers such as Nuerofen and Gen Pain are most effective.
Concerned that the condition is not resolved, even if it has improved, after 3 months.
