Patient: I am a 15 year old cheerleader. Last fall, I sustained what was believed to be a severely rolled ankle, as told by my school sports trainer. I never went to the doctor about it because my family doesn’t believe in it, but I wrapped it for about two weeks for practice in athletic tape. It hasn’t really felt right since and I am nervous it will happen again this upcoming season. Should I invest in an ankle brace or stabilizer? Or should I just wait and see what happens?
