Patient : I had surgery to repair a full thickness tear of my suprapinatus tendon December 2010. A follow up MRI on Oct 1, 2011 revealed that it is torn again and unoperable due to fatty atrophy. The tendon was healthy enough for surgery less than 1 year ago. Can this fatty atrophy develop so quickly?
