Shoulder Injury


Q: I was weight lifting for the first time in a long time yesterday. I started with incline dumbell raises and started light. I did three sets while I used to do five. On the last set, I raised the weight ten pounds on each side when I normally increase by five. On the last set, my left arm had trouble getting the sixth rep up and I struggled for a few seconds. All of the sudden, my left shoulder twisted violently but it felt fine so I wnt on to my next two exercises. This morning, I notice pain in my should when I move it certain directions and it has gotten worse as the day progressed so I'm keeping it at my side permanently for now. Also, I bent my left arm earlier and flexed my bicep and I felt pain in my shoulder. Is this a torn rotator cuff?
