Patient : I'm 21, and I hurt my knee playing basketball and my knee collided. there currently is an occasional sharp pain on the inner part of my knee, on the inner side of my knee cap towards the top part of my knee. I can bend my knee in all directions and can walk around for the most part. However, I cannot walk normally on it and there is agitation on the side of my knee when push off my leg (walking up the stairs for example)so i lock my leg and drag it along instead or walk with my foot facing the side. I've been icing it but i am constantly re-agitating it? I am limited in how fast I can walk and there is occasional pain in some, but not all, contact. Overall that upper area of the knee on the inner side feels stiff. What could the problem be and what can I do about it?
