Sleep Issues

Patient : It lately feels that when I lay down to sleep that I'm being suffocated until I am forced to sit up to relieve it and it's been making sleeping difficult. Other symptoms I've noticed over the past few days have been breaking into a sweat at random, general discomfort when trying to sleep, and slight nausea. There also has been a coming and going pain in my chest, along the right side of my left breast. It is not agonizing nor does it last long, it's just there. I do plan to visit the doctor, but is it a serious enough issue to come in before the appointment?
