Sleep paralysis but awake

Patient : Im a 30 year old male, i experienced something this afternoon that i had not experienced in almost 20 years. I used to work a 8 hour third shift and was recently discharged cause of an injury so Im always awake during the night and sleep during the day, i tried to change this pattern but since my girlfriend also works third shift I like to receive her in the morning so we can spend a little time together. Last night i took some acetaminophen pm (acetaminophen 500mg and diphenhydramine 25mg), like around 3am. When my girlfriend arrived (7am) we watched tv, i was still a little foggy but decided to stay awake because I had some things to do. I took a nap like around 2pm and as soon as i closed my eyes I felt paralyzed, I couldn't move or speak, all I could do was move my eyes and see everything around me. I fought this for what felt like an eternity until I managed to regain movement, I stood up turned on the fan cause it was a little warm and when I layed back down it happened again as soon as i closed my eyes, when I gained movement again I put my hand under my girlfriends arm so if this occurred again I would be able to squeeze and wake her. It happened again but this time I couldn't tell the difference between reality and dream, I squeezed my girlfriends arm but was very weak when doing so. I awoke again but this time I sat up for a few minutes to be sure that i was fully awake and when i went back to sleep it started happening again but this time i was able to fight it off. After fully falling asleep I had a terrible nightmare, I woke up like around 6pm tired, I felt like what had happened in my dream actually wore me out. I'm recently having alot of family drama in my life and constant arguments with my girlfriend. Does this have anything to do with it? Should I be worried?
