Slight Burning after Intercourse

Patient : I have been experiencing a slight burning sensation after sex. It's not unbearable but it isn't comfortable. I was recently treated for a yeast infection and my OB- GYN found a small fissure near the opening of my vagina. I was told to refrain from sex for two weeks, which I did. I am also on birth control and the only form of lubrication we use is saliva. What could this burning be a cause of? And should I go back to my OB-GYN?
Symptoms:  Slight burning after sex, but no pain.
