Sores around the groin

Patient : I have recently developed sores on my legs that appear a few inches from my groin. I have had two on my right leg and recently one on my left. The two on the right leg were several inches away from each other. The sores appear as a dime sized dry pink circle with a small red bump in the centre. The bumps on the right leg have disappeared but the dry pink circle has seemed to form a scar. The sores are not painful and I have no other symptoms. I have not had any sores on my genitalia and have recently attended a STD clinic for testing after my most recent partner, but prior to these sores developing. I believe that they only tested for HIV, Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. I will be returning to the clinic next week to have these examined. Any idea what it could be?
