Spine trauma healed but a future land mine?

Patient

Q: Several years ago I crashed violently while mountain biking. I had a concussion, with brief loss of consciousness, and blurry vision on one side of my visuals for about an hour afterward. Additionally, my metal pump in my backpack came into contact with my upper back, approx right in between my shoulder blades. It bent the handle of the shock and I felt a dull ache where it made contact with my spine for a few months afterward. It seemed somewhat minor to me at the time so I did not have anything checked out. Now, several years later, there is no pain but I've noticed that that same spot cracks and pops (like a knuckle) everyday when I take a deep breath in the morning etc. There is no pain but I'm wondering if there was some kind of damage associated with the accident that could cause me problems in the future?
