Patient : I fell playing basketball 8 days ago, and I tried to catch myself, and about an hour after I fell my elbow and wrist hurt. My wrist doesn't hurt anymore, but my elbow still hurts a little. When I fully extend my elbow and try to rotate my wrist with a small amount of weight, it hurts and it is difficult to do. It is painful to shoot, so I don't do it anymore. I stopped working out after the injury fearing that I might worsen whatever was wrong with my elbow. I am 17, fit and healthy. It sounds like tennis elbow, but it wasn't caused by overuse. My question is what is wrong with my elbow, and what can I do to make it better. Or do I need to go and see my Doctor?
