Patient : I was standing at the sink this morning when I had a sudden total weakness in both legs. It was also somewhat painful. I could not continue to stand and went down on the floor, finally crawling into the bedroom. My legs were like rubber. I stayed down for ten minutes or so before the feeling left and I felt I could stand up. Four hours later my legs are still crampy, but I can walk on them. I feel slightly light-headed, but basically okay. Do I need to be checked out immediately or make an appt to see my doctor. I am scared this might happen again while driving or in a public place. Thank you.
