Sulfa Allergy and Prescription for Metamizol Natruim
I am allergic to sulfa drugs. I was prescribed Novaminsulfon Lichtenstein (Metamizol-Natrium) and the name made me research it. From what I can tell, Metamizol is a sulfonic acid and sulfonic acids make sulfonamides, AKA sulfa drugs, which I'm allergic to. My question is: is my prescription a sulfa drug and is it safe for me to take it?
