Surviving bacterial pneumonia

Patient: A year and a half ago I contracted Bacterial Pneumonia and was in a medically induced coma for 12 days. During that time I was given the maximum doses of Ativan, Propufol and Haldol. I went into renal failure during that time as well. Since then, I have not felt like I’m the same person. I’m easily agitated, I can’t ever make up my mind about anything. I have a very hard time being punctual. I have a hard time remembering things and staying on task. But mostly I feel depressed, isolated And generally uneasy. I also don’t sleep more than an hour or two a night. Are these side effects from my illness or the medications I was on? I have had people Telly me that I qualify for disability. Am I really disabled? I’m only 44 but I feel like I’m 90 most days…
