Sustaining Max heart rate for five plus hours

Q: Hi Doc,

I am 42 years old with about 25% Bodyfat.
Last weekend I rode 64 miles on my bike in 5.5 hours. My average heart rate was 165, that is with taking breaks. There were a few hills where I was at or above 190. I have a resting heart rate of 58. I never had a hard time breathing and my heart rate was below a hundred a minute after stopping.

What are the dangers of this type of endurance activity?
