Swelling of the Upper Arm

Patient

Q: I have had pain in my elbow and swelling of the upper arm for 3 weeks now. When the swelling first appeared, I went to doctor. Ultrasound confirmed 2 blood clots in my arm. A week later, I was given another ultrasound after being on blood thinners and the blood clots are gone. Hematologist said if not better in 2 weeks to see an orthopedic doctor. Upper arm is still swollen and pain goes all the way into my wrist. Elbow tender like a bruise. Inside of arm is also tender. Ruled out tennis elbow. Any suggestions to what this may be. I have been taking Naproxen for the last 4 days...no improvement.
