Swollen calves, ankles, and feet, ...

Patient

Q: If current symptoms include: severely swollen calves, ankles, and feet; patches of red rash, some light, some appearing hardened near the surface, dried, rough, scaly, flaking, occasionally itchy; a dark or black discolored grove surrounding the large toe nail; periodic subdural tingling and sharp “electrical surge-like” pain to the top of each foot and side ankle bone; periodic tissue tightening around the ankles and top of each foot, as though wrapped with a material which periodically constricts [photos can be transmitted]; and where an emergency room is visited for further evaluation; 1. what medical condition may most likely cause such symptoms; and 2. would such symptoms normally require admittance for immediate treatment; and, if so, 3. what are some possible treatments a hospital, having admitted such a patient, may normally require to reduce leg swelling and corresponding pain which presently prevent walking more than a few city blocks?
