Patient : AFTER 18 YEARS SINCE MENOPAUSE BEGAN I HAVE CONTINUED TO TAKE MEDROXYPROGESTERONE AS DIRECTED, BUT I RECENTLY WAS TOLD IT IS DANGEROUS AND COULD PRESENT PROBLEMS BECAUSE I TOOK IT SO LONG. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS BUT BECAUSE I WAS DIRECTED BY A GYN, I STOPPED IT A YEAR AGO.I HAVE RECENTLY HAD VERY LOW BACKACHES THAT I CAN HARDLY STAND THE PAIN. I HAVE HAD EXRAYS, AND A CAT SCAN WITH NOTHING SHOWING. COULD IT BE THE RESULTS OF STOPPING THE MEDICINE, AND WOULD IT HURT ME TO GO BACK ON IT?
